EXOKNOX – Data Management for Function Data
EXOKNOX is the first future-proof data management platform for functional data.
Developed by simulation engineers from the automotive industry in collaboration with Karakun, this software solution fills a crucial gap in component development: While powerful CAD product data management systems already exist for geometric or geometry-related data, functional properties of components and systems such as stiffness, damping, pressure loss, or torque behavior can now be reliably managed and shared among all stakeholders using EXOKNOX.

The HIBU platform combines established and innovative technologies in the fields of enterprise search, language analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI). Key functions have been developed and validated in collaboration with leading research institutions.

OpenWebStart – Use Java Desktop Applications As You Know It
OpenWebStart
is an open-source reimplementation of Oracle’s discontinued Java Web Start technology. It enables launching, caching, and automatic updating of Java desktop applications via JNLP files—without requiring a local Java installation—thanks to its integrated JVM manager, which downloads the required OpenJDK variants (e.g., Azul Zulu, AdoptOpenJDK, Amazon Corretto).
Karakun is the maintainer of OpenWebStart and provides users with a range of Support-Optionen – from free community support to premium support with defined service level agreements.
VOLTA – The industry Solution for Swiss Electrical Companies
The cloud-based industry solution VOLTA simplifies administrative tasks for electrical installation companies in Switzerland. VOLTA streamlines and optimizes all steps – from project initiation to offer creation and invoicing.
With the mobile solution VOLTA mobile, service reports can also be created directly on-site and transmitted to VOLTA, where they are immediately available for invoicing.
