Accountant / Assistence (approx. 60%) (m/f/d)

Our offices are in the heart of Basel near the train station SBB. Karakun currently employs 67 experts at four locations in Switzerland, Germany and India. We develop individual software solutions for our customers and advise them in all aspects of software engineering and user interface design. The development and distribution of innovative software products complete our portfolio.

For our back office team, we are looking for energetic support as of April but no later than June 2024, for 3-4 days per week by a person who will independently take over the following activities, as our current employee is retiring:

  • Financial Accounting
  • Invoicing, accounts receivable and accounts payable, dunning, payment transactions (CH/D)
  • Payment transactions (CH/D)
  • Preparation of VAT statements (CH/D in cooperation with our trustee)
  • Preparation of annual financial statements (e.g. accruals and deferrals)
  • Monthly payroll processing, including electronic transmission in the payroll reporting procedure (social insurance and withholding taxes) and processing of family allowances, maternity, paternity, EO, sickness and accident reports
  • Responsibility for and maintenance of personnel master data
  • General administrative tasks (correspondence, telephone, mail, reception)
  • Support of our other company locations (Germany and India) in the tasks mentioned above
  • Other interesting tasks in finance & controlling

What we expect from you

  • You have completed a commercial education and have several years of professional experience (e.g. in the fiduciary sector or as a sole accountant)
  • You know ERP systems (ideally Abacus)
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel and are curious to learn new tools
  • You are a reliable and committed team player
  • You can handle general administrative tasks effortlessly and support our employees in doing so
  • You communicate stylistically confident in German and have good English skills
  • You are an above-average organizational talent and have the ability to find your way in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
  • You work precisely, structured, independently, and proactively
